Who We Are

KANSAS CITY'S
INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNER.

CrossField Infrastructure Solutions was established in Kansas City in 2003 by a team of civil engineers who had spent their careers at large regional firms and understood what mid-market Missouri and Kansas clients consistently couldn't get from them: project leadership that stayed present from kickoff to closeout, a single point of accountability for every engineering, permitting, and construction management deliverable, and a willingness to take on the complex multi-agency coordination projects that larger firms price out of reach.

Over 22 years we've delivered more than 340 infrastructure projects representing $1.2 billion in total construction value — from rural county road reconstruction to multi-phase industrial site development to complex urban bridge replacement projects requiring full traffic management and multi-agency coordination in Kansas City, Clay County, Jackson County, and across the I-70 corridor.

Our 75-person team includes licensed professional engineers, certified construction managers, traffic engineers, environmental specialists, and survey crews operating from our 5722 N Broadway office in Kansas City. We self-perform engineering, project management, and construction inspection — keeping your project on one contract, with one accountable team.

Safety Record

ZERO LOST TIME. THREE YEARS.

Safety is not a program at CrossField — it's the professional standard every engineer and field inspector holds as a personal commitment. Our safety record reflects our culture, not our paperwork.

🦺

ZERO LTI — 3 Years

Zero lost-time injury incidents over the past three years across all CrossField field operations — construction inspection, survey crews, and field engineering. 340,000+ field hours since last recordable incident.

📊

EMR 0.68

CrossField's current Experience Modification Rate of 0.68 places us in the top quartile for safety performance among Missouri civil engineering firms — a direct result of our pre-construction safety planning and field supervisor accountability protocols.

🔍

Daily Field Inspections

Every CrossField-managed project receives a daily field inspection by a CrossField-certified inspector — not just when the contractor requests it. Pre-task safety plans are reviewed before every operation that changes from the previous day.

📋

ISNetworld Certified

CrossField is a current ISNetworld certified contractor — all safety documentation, insurance certificates, and training records are maintained current for immediate access by owner organizations requiring contractor pre-qualification.

🎓

OSHA 30-Hour Minimum

Every CrossField field employee carries a current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification as a minimum qualification standard. Project managers carry OSHA 510 and relevant specialized certifications for each project type.

🌿

Environmental Compliance

Zero EPA notices of violation in CrossField's operating history. Every project with ground disturbance over 1 acre is managed under a CrossField-prepared NPDES permit and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan with daily inspection logging.

Client Feedback

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"
We've worked with five civil engineering firms on projects in Clay County over the past decade, and CrossField is the only one that has consistently delivered on every commitment — scope, schedule, budget, and coordination with MODOT and the county engineer's office. Their project managers are accessible, their inspectors are thorough, and they flag problems before they become change orders. That combination is genuinely rare in Missouri infrastructure work, and it's why we've given CrossField every project we've had the last six years.

"
CrossField managed our Phase 2 industrial park development from design through construction closeout — 48 acres, 4 building pads, full utilities. Every delivery date was met. The KCMO Water and MSD coordination that usually causes schedule slippage on projects like this was handled proactively, before it caused delays. We came in on budget and on time. We've already engaged them for Phase 3.

"
The Vivion Road water main project was a high-risk operation — 3,800 feet of replacement in a corridor with 220 active service connections, heavy residential traffic, and a tight construction season window. CrossField's field management kept every service connection active during construction, coordinated with KCMO Water throughout, and closed out the project 4 days early. Their inspector documentation was complete and their as-built drawings were delivered on closeout day. That's the standard.
